Straits Kitchen & Bar
Houndsditch, London
Fusion

Straits Kitchen serves as the culinary flagship of Pan Pacific London, just a short stroll from Liverpool Street station.
A stylish fusion restaurant, it skillfully blends bold Southeast Asian flavours with refined Western techniques, creating elegantly vibrant dishes rooted in heritage yet executed with contemporary flair.
Under the guidance of Executive Head Chef Adam Bateman, who brings over 25 years of experience, the menu spans small/raw plates, dumplings, skewers, larger mains, and rice and noodles, plus an “Experience Menu” that showcases signature dishes for sharing.
Five thoughtfully curated plates – such as Scottish smoked salmon with sweet miso and edible flowers, chicken satay skewers with toasted coconut, and a Hereford beef short rib with miso polenta and sweet soy.
Recent seasonal highlights include Scottish scallops with soy, sesame, and chilli dressing; rich crab pappardelle in creamy coconut chilli laksa; and a slow‑braised beef with hibiscus‑pickled onions and charred leeks.
Desserts also shine: the signature Gula Melaka crème brûlée with mango lime compote and mango coriander sorbet is both modern and refreshing.
The restaurant overlooks the city’s skyline through expansive glass walls—creating a serene, yet dynamic dining environment.
One reviewer described it as “a relaxed restaurant offering pan‑Asian and fusion dishes in a glamorous setting,” while another noted the space as a “hidden gem away from the frenetic throng of Liverpool Street”.
